George Washington (b. February 22, 1732 – d. December 14, 1799) was an American political leader, military General, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797. The Masonic Grand Lodge of Louisiana dedicated this statue on February 7, 1960. In this statue he his wearing a Masonic apron and holding a gavel in his right hand.
